Between 1970 and 2012 the club has had numerous names but most fondly remembered as Bognor Martlets. They played in the Bognor & Chichester district minor league which today is the Arun & Chichester Youth Football League.

In 2013 a new committee was formed to double the number of teams registered at the club which at the time stood at only 4 teams. Through grants from local Councils and business’s they were able to invest time and money into developing their home ground at Bognor Sports Club which is adjacent to the main Bognor FC Stadium. They increased the number of pitches from 2 to 6 which enabled them to attract more players. In addition to this, BRTYFC at the time was known for only accepting the most gifted of players. The committee set about changing the perception to empathize that we are an inclusive club open to all players of all abilities.

To date (2024) the club has 31 youth teams, approximately 475 players, of which a third are girls aged 7-18yrs.

Our Club is affiliated to Sussex County FA and are registered with the following leagues.

  • Saywell Arun & Chichester Youth Football League
  • Mid Sussex Youth Football League
  • Sussex Sunday Youth Football league
