Now team-mate Harvey Whyte has launched an appeal to boost the central defender’s coffers following the injury that has left him unable to work.

On a GoFundMe page Harvey said: “Robbo is self-employed and since then he has been unable to work and paying out for various consultations.

“His operations will cost upwards of £20k and unable to wait for NHS, he will be covering the majority of costs himself hopefully with some help from the club. As a great community club I’m sure we can help Robbo on his long road to recovery.”
