The experienced schemer, 39, who was manager at Gosport Borough until recently, has signed to help the Rocks out after a spate of injuries left Howell with a weakened squad for the Isthmian South Central division clash. Add to that, full-back Danny Jordan has been recalled by parent club Worthing.

A club spokesman said: “Jamie is extremely grateful to Danny who has signed for the Rocks today. With injuries after Saturday’s defeat at Westfield, Danny’s experience will be invaluable tonight. This may well be only a short-term arrangement but is much appreciated by the club.”
