The first half was a tight affair with the defences on top. Bognor finally got the breakthrough at the end of the half after Ava W’s shot cannoned off the crossbar and Flora R was able to loop the rebound over the keeper into the far top corner.
Playing with the strong wind in the second half Bognor were gradually able to assert their dominance and Issy E was able to get on the end of three team moves to complete a hat trick with composed and clinical finishing – assisted in turn by Lily G, Ava W and Viva M. Bognor held out for another clean sheet, and with Julia N in outstanding form at the back, have yet to concede a goal this season.
Next week they welcome league newcomers Jersey Bulls who are flying over for a landmark match at the Bognor Sports Ground at Hawthorn Road 12KO 12/10/2025.
