The Bognor Greens put in an impressive end of season performance to secure yet another Sussex Girls Premier League title.

Going into the game with closest rivals Uckfield Grasshoppers needing a win or a draw, Bognor got off to a dream start when Lily G scored with a direct free kick from fully 30 yards that sailed into the top corner.

She added a second from the penalty spot and then Emily C volleyed home at the far post to make it 3-0. Two superb long range strikes brough Uckfield right back into it at 3-2 before Riley B scored Bognor’s fourth before half time.

A superb penalty save from Bognor’s keeper Katie B preserved their  lead in the second half before further strikes from Riley B made the game safe and gave Bognor an incredible fourth successive title.

The Bognor girls are now hoping to secure the double with a cup final this Saturday at Sussex FA HQ Culver Road Lancing 6:30pm KO
