The match started at a very high tempo with both teams fighting hard to take control. It was evenly matched before the Rockettes opened the scoring from their first corner of the game, with Macie Downs scoring from close range.

The hosts equalised shortly afterwards before Laura Barton pulled it back to 2-1 with a lovely lob over the keeper. Once again AFC Portchester found an equaliser, this time with an unlucky own goal from Lou Lou Robson to make it 2-2 at half time.

After the break, there were chances at both ends before Lou Lou Robson sent a fantastic looping header over the keeper from another corner excellently delivered by Millie Carter. With 10 minutes remaining AFC Portchester threw everything at the Rockettes to try to equalise but the visitors held strong to gain a very well deserved 3-2 win.

This is now the third win in a row for a rejuvenated Rockettes team, who are playing with much passion and enthusiasm.
