Bognor Regis Town were formed on October 29, 1883. Hopefully, Robbie Blake’s men can mark the occasion tomorrow night at the MKM Arena with a win over Gosport Borough in the rescheduled FA Trophy tie.

Saturday’s game fell foul of the deluge but there can be no certainty about the match going ahead with the forecast suggesting more rain, and plenty of it. If a waterlogged pitch scuppers the encounter, we will try again for Wednesday.

Tuesday isn’t an option because Chichester City, tenants at Nyewood Lane while their Oaklands Park pitch is relayed with a 4G surface, are set to be play Hastings United in the Alan Tuvey Trophy. Whether or not that will be on is in question, too, obviously.

The Sussex Transport Senior Cup tie at home to Horsham YMCA, which was going to be played this Wednesday, has been postponed and a new date will be arranged.

Meanwhile, we have agreed with Worthing to extend by another month the loan spell of full-back Reuben Livesey-Austin. On the subject of loans, Jimmy Muitt has gone back to Dorking and scored in their 2-1 win over Aldershot yesterday. Another Wanderers loanee, Alfie Rutherford, is available tomorrow night and again for Wednesday should the game be switched but his loan ends Thursday.
